Medina’s Snap Fitness: An Enlightening Experience

By Brooke Thomas, BEAT Reporter

MEDINA, OH- Whether it be to train for a sport, go with a friend, or simply just for fun, working out can be for everyone. Snap Fitness, owned by Kimberly Schuerger and Brian Tracey, is located in Medina at 919 North Court Street. Schuerger and Tracey are open for nonmembers from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., but for members they are open 24 hours a day.

Schuerger and Tracey started Snap Fitness because they both worked out a lot, and it made them happy. They wanted to have their own gym, so they bought Snap Fitness from a previous owner. The gym officially opened in 2020.

To go to the gym alone, without an adult, you must be 16 or older. You can come at any age if you are with an adult. You can as well purchase a membership for $34.99 a month. If you want to visit without a membership, it is $10, but if you go with a member it is $5 per visit

Schuerger and Tracey’s favorite time of the day is 3 p.m., because that is usually when their loyal customers come to the gym. They remarked that they “Love to see all of their loyal customers and most of the time they talk more than they work out.”  Schuerger’s favorite machine is the hip thruster, and she also likes to do shoulder exercises. Tracey likes to use the dumbbells. They love their gym, and they have grown and expanded it over time, with loyal, happy customers every day. They have hopes to expand more and more in the future.
