Brunswick's Marzcardz: An Outlet for Sports and Pokémon

By Miles Richards, BEAT reporter

BRUNSWICK, OH- Many don’t ever get to experience the mysterious wonders and dopamine spike from opening a pack of sports or collectible cards to find something special. Brunswick’s Marzcardz Shop is the perfect place for hanging out with friends and ripping open some of your favorite packs of cards. They have tables and lounge areas where you can review your purchases, and engage in passionate conversations with the owner, Mario Tripp, about new and unique cards.

Marcardz Shop, located at 1655 Pearl Road, Brunswick, is owned by Tripp. Mario is often referred to as easygoing and kind, with lots of people getting along with him and discussing sports, players, and different card packs. Talking about Pokémon cards, Tripp spoke about the difficulty of the Pokémon resale market, and how getting specific boxes of cards can be a struggle. His shop also has to pay more money for these boxes because the prices are out of control on the resell market.

There are plenty of Pokémon packs like Mega Evolution, Prismatic Evolutions, and so much more. Many customers even compare different types of cards with their friends. There are also sports cards like soccer, football, and baseball. Card collectors often sell their cards and gain extra cash off of them.

Marzcardz can be a relaxed, chill store with lots of people and families. Whether it be discussing cards with friends or watching sports on their TV, it is a way for many to explore their passion.
