A Brunswick Favorite: Harmony Preschool Marks Their 45th Year

BRUNSWICK, OH- Are you looking for the perfect fit for your child’s preschool education? Harmony Preschool may be just for you. Harmony is located in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1600 Pearl Road, Brunswick. The enrollment for the 2026-2027 school started Monday, January 26th. The school year starts in August and ends in May. The preschool is celebrating their 45th year after the current administrator’s mother had started it!

Harmony Preschool teachers are separated into different classrooms. In total there are 6 teachers. The 3-year-old teachers are Beth Stockman and Meghan Woolard. The 4-year-old teachers are Lindey Karn, Morgan Hefner and Haley Checovich. The 5-year-old teacher is Kelly DeSario. Catherine Kahn is the owner/administrator of Harmony. She took over after her mother retired about 8 years ago. Before Kahn became the owner, she was a teacher for quite a bit of time.

Harmony Preschool does follow the Brunswick City School District’s calendar which means they have school off when older siblings in public schools would too. The preschool’s school year starts around 2 weeks after the middle school, elementaries, and high school is back in session.  The tuition costs for the preschool are paid in 10 equal payments. Prices range from $1,700 to $2,800 a year depending on the number of days your child attends, which you choose. The days range from times and dates depending on the age of your child.

Even though it is located in a church, Harmony Preschool is not religious-based. The preschool rents space inside the church so it’s completely private and no religion is involved in the curriculum. They do work very closely with the Brunswick City Schools to make sure their students are prepared for kindergarten.

“I’m a Brunswick High School Alumni myself,” said Kahn. “We love being a part of this community and look forward to everybody registering for us in the fall.”
