Mansier Helps Mastermind Medina Main Street Medina’s Many Events

BRUNSWICK, OH- Main Street Medina has been operating since 2007. And, with the addition of Angela Mansier in 2020, she has helped it stay busy all the time. Main Street Medina is a nonprofit organization that works to build their community’s four pillars of focus: historic preservation, economic, vitality, promotions, and organization. To accomplish this, Main Street Medina hosts a variety of Medina-based events throughout the year, including Medina Square Farmers Market, Fall Festival, and their most popular one, the Candlelight Walk.
The path that led Mansier to Main Street Medina was quite natural. In 2020, Mansier started a part-time job at Main Street Medina as a Farmers Market Manager midway through their season. It was a perfect fit for Mansier, who was already taking her children regularly both to the markets and the many events that Main Street Medina would host. As a result, both she and her family were already engaged in the history of Medina Square and all of the events that took place there.
Today, Mansier serves as Main Street Medina’s Events Director, which means she plans and executes all of the free community events for Main Street Medina. While many of the events are straightforward, some are a little quirky (in a good way).
For instance, their popular Ladies Night, which takes place on select Thursdays (typically not a busy night for people) can have fun and playful themes. This month, on Thursday, July 23, the theme is “Mrs. Roper’s Romp” (named after zany character Helen Roper in the popular 1970’s TV show Three’s Company). Throw on your caftan or Moo Moo and celebrate what plans on being a fun and memorable evening.
The summer and Fall are busy times for Main Street Medina. Their popular Farmers Market on the Historic Medina Square (featuring 70+ local vendors) launched on May 16th and will continue each Saturday (from 9:00am to 1:00pm) through October 10th. Other events include:
· July 25 – Christmas in July
· August 8 – Customer Appreciation Day
· August 22 – South Town Music Festival
· September 12 – Any Lab Test Now Wellness Expo
· September 26 – Medina Fall Festival
· October 10 – Last Market Day
As with any events, the need for volunteers is critical. “We are always looking for people who love community and have a passion for sharing that same love with the guests that we bring to our events,” she said.
